On June 14, 2023, IACP President Letteney and IACP executive leadership met with the executive leadership of Interpol in Lyon, France. Following the meeting, the IACP delegation met with the executive leadership of the French National Police and toured French National Police headquarters.

From Jun 7-9, 2023, President John Letteney and IACP executive leadership attended the Victim Support Europe 2023 Annual Conference in Berlin, Germany. The theme of the 2023 conference was “Protecting Fundamental Freedoms, A Victim’s Perspective”. The event featured meetings, presentations, and discussions focused on crimes against democracy, the work of law enforcement agencies with victims, and supporting vulnerable populations in the midst of conflict. President Letteney was a featured speaker at the event where he spoke about the mission of the IACP, as well as several IACP projects and initiatives including victims of crime, community police engagement, and the Trust-Building Campaign.

From April 18-25, 2023, President Letteney and IACP executive leadership traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel. The visit was conducted in collaboration with the Abraham Global Peace Initiative.

From April 18-25, 2023, IACP President John Letteney; Vice Presidents Wade Carpenter, Ken Walker, and Chief Sean Duggan; Past President Steve Casstevens; and Director of Global Policing Vince Hawkes visited Polish National Police headquarters where they discussed local hate and anti-Semitic challenges with members of the Polish National Police. During the visit conducted in collaboration with the Abraham Global Peace Initiative, IACP’s delegation laid flowers at the Plaszow Concentration Camp in Krakow and volunteered with a delegation at the Ukrainian Refugee Centre at the Jewish Community Centre in Krakow, Poland.

From March 20-24, 2023, IACP President Letteney and IACP Executive leadership traveled to Berlin, Germany where a meeting was held for IACP’s Committee on Terrorism. 

From August 20-22, 2023, IACP executive leadership attended the 118th Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Summit and Trade Show in Ottawa, Ontario. The theme of the event was “Policing in a Changing Canada”.

From March 8, 2023 to August 25, 2023, the IACP in partnership with the UAE Ministry of the Interior, facilitated the exchange of five Emirati officers who enrolled in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Police Academy in Los Angeles, California through the IACP/UAE MOI Police Academy Exchange Program. The five delegates experienced LAPD’s full five-month basic academy program and graduated as a part of the 03-23 academy class. Following completion of the academy, the five Emirati officers earned the rank of Lieutenant.
