Global Reach
International perspectives are vitally important to all law enforcement leaders and IACP helps facilitate the sharing of that perspective through a number of forums. Through relationships with other international organizations, the IACP's members turn to each other to answer questions of global relevance.
Global Policing
With more than 35,000 members in over 170 countries, the IACP has a vast global reach. IACP’s Global Initiatives are housed under the provision of the Global Policing Division. The Global Policing Division was established to provide a strategic plan for the international programs and activities of the IACP.
IACP’s global reach also includes the International Managers of Police Academy and College Training (IMPACT) Section, Trust Building Campaign, Cultural Transformation in Policing, and the International Road Policing Alliance (IRPA).

Delegation Meeting with Representatives from the Province of Córdoba
On May 23, 2025, the Global Policing team hosted a delegation from the province of Córdoba, Argentina including the Provincial Police. The agency is an IACP partner on the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) project.
Dominican Republic Delegation Visit
On September 14, 2023, a group of ten government and police officials from the Dominican Republic visited IACP headquarters through the Meridian Center Strengthening Law Enforcement Public Relations and Community Outreach project funded by the U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program. While at IACP, the group heard presentations from IACP staff who discussed IACP's global and domestic work around the topics of community-police engagement and community outreach.

Dubai Government in Excellence Program
IACP assisted the Government of Dubai in sourcing experts in innovation, smart government, and Human Resources. Through the initiative, IACP also has representation on a panel that assesses a UAE/national level awards program.
Egypt Multi-Disciplinary Study Tours on Combatting Sexual and Gender-Based Violence
In a project funded by the U.S. Department of State - INL, IACP introduced a multidisciplinary approach to investigating sexual and gender-based violence to Egyptian police, prosecutors, forensic officials, and women’s advocacy groups through study tours in the U.S. and site visits in Egypt. Through the program, IACP conducted five U.S. study tours for approximately 50 Egyptian justice sector officials focused on responding to sexual and gender-based violence.
European Delegation Visit through the International Visitor Leadership Program
On May 30, 2025, the IACP hosted a delegation of 10 European police and national security officials from 10 countries through the U.S. Department of State funded International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
European Police Chiefs Convention (EPCC)
From September 26-27, 2023, IACP leadership attended the 13th Annual European Police Chiefs Convention in the Hague, Netherlands. The event featured a Presidential Keynote speech by President Letteney.
European Police Chiefs Convention (EUROPOL)
IACP executive leadership attended the 2019 European Police Chiefs Convention at Europol headquarters in The Hauge, Netherlands.
European Police Chiefs Convention 2025
From September 23-24, 2025, IACP President Ken Walker, First Vice President David Rausch, International Vice President Vincent Vleesenbeek, and Director of International Engagement and Partnerships Vince Hawkes attended the European Police Chiefs Convention in The Hague, Netherlands.
First Line Leadership Training
From September 15-17, 2025, the Delta Police Department hosted a First Line Leadership (FLL) training in British Columbia, Canada. The FLL training program is a three-day in-person training program designed to meet the needs of current and aspiring leaders.

New Global Tiered Dues Structure
Seeking to improve equity for all members, the IACP is announcing a revised tiered dues structure based upon the World Bank’s country economic groupings. The IACP is offering international membership rates to allow those from lower-income economies to have more affordable access to the benefits and resources provided by the IACP.
What does this mean for you? All IACP members will continue to receive invaluable benefits and resources however, international members from lower-income economies will now have more affordable access. Members from Tier I countries will continue to receive Police Chief magazine mailed to them. Members from Tiers II, III and IV will receive access to the translated digital version at a reduced fee. The new membership dues fee structure went into effect on January 1, 2023.
