Korean National Police Visit to IACP Headquarters
Members of the executive leadership of the Korean National Police Agency visited IACP headquarters on April 3, 2023. Meetings and discussions were held on cooperation and collaboration between South Korea and the IACP.
Policing Manitoba Magazine Article
An article was published in the Spring 2023 edition of the Manitoba Association of Chiefs of Police magazine, Policing Manitoba, on the IACP's Police Exchange Programs. The article highlights IACP's global partnerships and police exchange programs conducted in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Interior. The Spring 2023 issue was distributed to attendees at MACP's National Police Leadership Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba from April 24-26, 2023.
IACP Presidential Visit to the Netherlands
In April 2023 in The Netherlands, President Letteney and the IACP delegation met with the Commissioner of the Dutch National Police. The IACP delegation engaged with commanders, senior executives, and community police officers focused on community trust building efforts. At the EUROPOL Headquarters in The Hague, President Letteney and IACP delegation held a meeting with the EUROPOL Chief of Staff.
World Police Summit 2023
President Letteney, members of the board, and IACP staff attended the 2023 World Police Summit in Dubai, UAE from March 7-9, 2023. At the summit, President Letteney conducted a presentation titled ‘Trust Building in the Modern Policing Environment.’ IACP held a World Regional Office Chairs meeting during the Summit, and staffed a booth in the expo hall to highlight the benefits of IACP membership. During the summit, President Letteney was interviewed by Policing TV and the Emirates News Agency.
Australian Federal Police / Australian Capital Territory - Delegation Visit
In March 2023, the IACP hosted a delegation from the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Capital Territory for a meeting on ‘Decriminalization Considerations’. The IACP brought in subject matter experts from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, the Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program, and other regional agencies to discuss promissing practices and areas of collaboration.
IACP Presidential Visit to Belgium
In April 2023, President Letteney and IACP executive leadership traveled to Belgium and The Netherlands. In Brussels, President Letteney and the IACP delegation met with several memebrs of the executive leadership of the Belgium Federal Police.
Lunar New Year Celebration in Washington, D.C.
Members of IACP's Senior Leadership and IACP's Global Policing team represented IACP at the Taiwanese Ambassador’s residence in Washington D.C. for a Lunar New Year Celebration on January 18, 2023.
ANZPAA Conference and Presidential Visit
IACP President John Letteney and members of IACP’s senior leadership team traveled to Melbourne, Australia to participate in the 2022 ANZPAA Police Conference on November 8-9, 2022. The 2022 conference was centered on the theme of “Navigating the Next Generation of Policing.” While in Australia, President Letteney and the senior leadership team traveled to Canberra, Australia where they toured police facilities and met with representatives of the Australian Federal Police. The team also traveled to Sydney, Australia where they met with the executive leadership of the Australian Institute of Police Management.
Kyrgyzstan – Delegation Visit
On November 14, 2022, IACP welcomed a delegation of police officials from Kyrgyzstan who were participating in an exchange program on “Investigating and Prosecuting Human Rights Violations” through the Institute of International Education (IIE) with funding from the U.S. Department of State. While at IACP headquarters, the delegates learned about IACP before completing the rest of their exchange program with IIE.
ASAE Global Seminar
On September 28, 2022, members of IACP's Global Policing team attended a Global Seminar at the Singapore Embassy in Washington, D.C. conducted by ASAE.
