Global Supply Chain - Virtual
On June 5, 2024, Global Policing Director Matt Langer represented the IACP during a panel discussion on global supply chain issues and how the IACP supports police efforts in combatting transnational crime.
Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) Site Visit - Buenos Aires & Córdoba, Argentina
From May 20-24, 2024, the IACP’s Global Policing team conducted a site visit to Argentina for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS). During the site visit, the IACP delivered a Safe and Efficient Checkpoints training to 56 traffic agents in Buenos Aires and 57 traffic inspectors in Cordoba. The IACP also delivered a presentation about the Importance of Road Policing for 14 traffic agent graduates beginning their public service careers in Buenos Aires.
Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP) Annual General Meeting and Conference
From May 13-17, 2024, Vince Hawkes and members of the Global Policing team supported President Wade Carpenter, 2nd-Vice President David Rausch, and 4th-Vice President Will Johnson at the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP) Annual General Meeting and Conference in Belize City, Belize.

Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) Site Visit - Guayquil & Quito, Ecuador
On May 6-11, 2024, the IACP conducted a site visit to Guayaquil & Quito, Ecuador as part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) to deliver trainings on Safe and Efficient Checkpoints. During the site visit, IACP staff held meetings with the new Director of Operations for the Municipal Transit Authority of Guayaquil and the Commander of the Ecuadorian Transit Commission.
IACP Spring Governing Body Meeting
From April 25-27, 2024, the IACP Spring Governing Body meeting was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. IACP’s World Regional Chairs were in attendance for the meeting.
International Delegation Visit to IACP Headquarters – Brazil
On April 18, 2024, IACP staff met with a delegation of police officials from Brazil to discuss the role of the IACP in enhancing professionalism in police agencies. The visit was arranged by the Meridian International Center through the U.S. Department of State funded International Visitor Leadership Program. The delegation included police leaders from six police agencies representing Maranhão, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, and Cariacica.
National Association of Federal Police Commissioners (ADPF) International Symposium on Security
From May 8-9, 2024, IACP staff supported IACP President Wade Carpenter and Parliamentarian Ken Carpenter at the National Association of Federal Police Commissioners (ADPF) International Symposium on Security in Brasilia, Brasil. In addition to their presentation at the symposium, the IACP delegation met with Rodrigo Fernandes, Brazil Federal Police Commissioner and IACP South America World Region Chair, and executive police leaders from state and federal police agencies in Brazil, to discuss future engagement opportunities.
National Police Chief’s Council Meeting
On March 20-21, 2024, IACP President Carpenter, and Vice President Walker, and Director Vince Hawkes attended the U.K.'s National Police Chiefs Council meeting in Cardiff, Wales. The IACP delegation was honored to present to the 43 U.K. Chiefs which included representatives from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the London Metropolitan Police, and the National Crime Agency.
