| Ryan Elliott
Postal Inspector Team Leader Ryan Elliott exemplifies the highest standards of public service and law enforcement leadership. With nearly two decades of experience—including roles as a Diplomatic Security Service special agent and a New York City Police Department officer—Inspector Elliott has spent the last 12 years with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. As someone who has been drawn to public service since his youth, his impact has been both national and deeply personal. Inspector Elliott led a major interdiction operation in Queens, New York, targeting a surge in mail theft and violent crimes. His coordination of federal, state, and local partners resulted in 14 arrests, recovery of stolen mail and postal keys, and outreach to more than 1,900 USPS employees. His leadership also launched the RAPTOR Task Force–the most robust financial crimes task force in the United States–dramatically reducing postal robberies in the region. He has also developed a financial fraud task force of internal and external stakeholders. Beyond enforcement, Inspector Elliott is a champion of innovation and officer safety. He spearheaded a national trauma care program, outfitting inspectors with medical kits and training. He also modernized AED units and ensured EMT support during high-risk operations. His commitment to team morale is evident in transforming workspaces and launching a national awards program to recognize excellence across the agency. A lifelong volunteer firefighter and EMT, Inspector Elliott’s dedication extends beyond the badge. His leadership is defined by integrity, service, and a relentless drive to improve the profession. "I constantly look for opportunities for growth in myself and in the people who work for me…to continually strive to be the best we can be.”
