In August 2022, President Henninger, members of the Board, and members of the Global Policing team traveled to Dublin, Ireland for a roundtable on cultural transformation in police agencies. The event, hosted by An Garda Síochána with funding from Axon, featured police leaders from seven countries who shared their insight, observations, and experiences in leading cultural change within their respective organizations. The event coincided with the centenary of the founding of An Garda Síochána at Dublin Castle, and will include the release of a report summarizing the findings of the roundtable in later months.

The 2022 IACP Board Meeting was held in Québec City, Québec on August 5-7, 2022 in partnership with the CACP Board.

IACP executive leadership attended the 2022 ACCP Annual General Meeting and Conference in Nassau, Bahamas from May 29-June 1, 2022.

In 2021, members of the IACP Executive Board attended the 2021 Virtual ACCP Annual General Meeting.

In May 2022, IACP facilitated a two-week study tour in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Interior and the Orange Country Sheriff’s Office in Alexandria, VA and Orlando, FL for 11 Emirati police officials. While at IACP headquarters, the delegates learned about leadership concepts through the IACP’s First-Line Leadership course. The delegates also learned about local and federal policing in the U.S. through presentations, discussions, and site visits with local and federal partners such as the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office, FBI headquarters, and the FBI Training Academy. During the second half of the study tour in Orlando, FL, the delegates were able to learn about the various units and functions of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office through presentations, tours, and ride-alongs throughout the local community. 

On April 5-9, 2022, the IACP in partnership with the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) through funding from the U.S. Department of State – Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), met with the executive leadership of the Colombian National Police (CNP) in Bogotá, Colombia to present findings and recommendations associated with CNP’s national deployment model, Plan Cuadrante. The in-country meetings were conveyed following a series of virtual roundtables and comparative analysis research conducted in 2021 and 2022.

On September 7, 2022, President Henninger was the Keynote Speaker and Director Hawkes moderated the 2022 International Forum on Police Cooperation for Combatting Transnational Telecommunication Fraud in the Post-Pandemic Era.

In 2021, IACP staff conducted a site visit and preparation meetings for the World Police Summit in Dubai, UAE. 

IACP signed an MOU with RoadPol at the 2022 World Police Summit in Dubai, UAE in March 2022.

In October 2019, a Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) course was held in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
