We are less than one month away from the 2021 IACP Drugs, Alcohol, & Impaired Driving (DAID) conference happening August 14-16. This is the largest conference for drug recognition experts and traffic enforcement professionals, and you can attend from anywhere around the world!

Who Should Attend the DAID Conference?

The DAID conference is open to drug recognition experts, prosecutors, traffic safety professionals, physicians & toxicologists, traffic investigators, first responders, law enforcement practitioners, and civilian employees of public safety agencies. In this forum, you will have the opportunity to connect with professionals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. You can share information on experiences, best practice, and lessons learned to improve road safety and reduce drug- and alcohol- impaired driving in your communities.

This year at DAID there will be more than 30 virtual workshops on topics like:

• Methamphetamine and Driving in 2021
• Electronic Search Warrants
• DRE Reconstruction of a Double Fatality: What Went Right & What Needed Improvement
• Training at a “High” Level – Green Lab Cannabis Impairment

The virtual format will feature many of the same sessions being available and running concurrent with the sessions being held in-person. This allows you to access the same education no matter where you are in the world.

Traffic safety consists of a wide range of information, and it is critical to address all aspects of traffic safety to improve and maintain the safety on our roadways. The workshop topics reflect the different array of issues faced on the roadway including distracted driving, impaired driving, traffic incidents, crash investigations, and new technology used to enhance traffic safety.
