The Criminal Justice Information Systems Committee (CJIS) shall support the IACP mission and its members by serving as the central coordination point for data and information sharing and information management systems. The CJIS Committee shall also serve as the primary liaison with the FBI on all issues involving information sharing efforts including the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS), the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS), the National Data Exchange (N-DEx), and Regional Data Exchange (R-DEx).
