| Ron Campurciani

Chief Ronald Campurciani is a 40-year veteran of policing. In May of 2018, Chief Campurciani retired as the Chief of Police in West Springfield, Massachusetts. After that Chief Campurciani became the Executive Director of the Western Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association.In December of 2019 Chief Campurciani was appointed as the Chief of Police in Mooresville, North Carolina, and has led a transformative change of that police department, that continues to this day. The department has experienced significant growth under Chief Campurciani, growing by over 40% and more growth has been planned for over the course of the next several years.Early in his career, Chief Campurciani was assigned to a newly created DEA Task Force as part of President Ronald Reagan’s War on Drugs. During his time in the task force, Chief Campurciani worked undercover traveling extensively throughout the United States and abroad. While working undercover Chief Campurciani spent years infiltrating outlaw motorcycle gangs, traditional organized crime groups and terrorist organizations.As his career progressed, Chief Campurciani has had many assignments. He has served as an SRT Commander, the Officer in Charge of the Narcotics Unit, the Commandant of the Regional Police Academy and the head of Internal Affairs.Chief Campurciani is a graduate of the 195th session of the FBI National Academy where he was honored to be chosen as the class spokesperson. Chief Campurciani holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England University.
