
2022 Policy Council Midyear
The 2022 Policy Council Midyear will be held April 22-24, 2022, at The Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida. This meeting provides an opportunity for IACP Committee members to collaborate within and across Policy Councils, discuss critical issues facing the law enforcement community, identify best practices, and enhance relationships with peers and colleagues in the field.

To be eligible to attend Policy Council Midyear, attendees should be appointed members of IACP Committees and IACP Section Chairs.

Health and Safety Protocols
Meeting Health and Safety Protocols
The following guidelines make up the IACP Meeting and Event Safety Protocols, which represent state and local mandated protocols in place during the event. Updates to the below are subject to change. Any changes will be shared with registered attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and vendors prior to the event.
Before Leaving Home:
- Follow relevant guidance provided by World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and your local health authority.
- Adhere to government issued travel restrictions and guidance issues by the region you will be traveling to and the region from which you are travelling.
- Consider taking a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of your departure regardless of vaccination status.
- Stay home if you feel sick, test positive for COVID-19, are awaiting COVID-19 test results, or have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
On-Site During the Event:
- All delegates, exhibitors, and guests will be required to show proof of vaccination or one (1) negative PCR test or two (2) negative antigen tests within 72 hours to attend the in-person event. At this time, per CDC, fully vaccinated is two rounds of mRNA or one of J&J. For international attendees, fully vaccinated is designated by WHO.
- Follow guidance from the local health authority for everyday prevention actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses including: 1) Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. 2) Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. 3) Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing. Throw used tissues in the trash. 4) Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
- Face mask protocol will follow local guidance at the time of the event. Face masks should cover your face from the bridge of your nose to past your chin.
- Notify someone at registration at any time if you feel unwell or are experiencing flu-like symptoms.
Adherence to on-site guidelines in place at the time of the event is required. anyone not adhering to the guidelines will be asked to leave, or removed from, the event premises and to surrender his / her event badge and will forfeit their registration fees.
Post-Event:
Based on current contact tracing advice from many health authorities, if you test positive for COVID-19 up to 14 days after returning home, please contact the meeting / event organizer to advise them at Inform@theIACP.org.
