Thinking (and Learning) Outside the Box
The IACP Annual Conference and Exposition educational opportunities don’t just take place inside the four walls of a classroom. With Learning Labs, Poster Sessions, and the Innovation Theatre, attendees are able to experience hands-on, visual, and innovative sessions that will get them thinking (and learning) outside the box.
Here is just a brief overview of what conference attendees can expect from these dynamic sessions.
Learning Labs – Learning Lab sessions provide attendees with a hands-on learning environment. Sessions are held in a special room with computer stations, allowing presenters to walk attendees through an interactive experience. There will be eight Learning Lab sessions held throughout the conference.

Poster Sessions – Featuring 18 visual presentations, the Poster Sessions are a great way to learn about a topic in a one-on-one setting with subject matter experts. The Poster Sessions are held simultaneously in the foyer of the Skyline Ballroom at McCormick Place West on Tuesday, October 27, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Innovation Theatre – Experience education right on the Exposition Hall floor with the Innovation Theatre. These sessions are only 20 minutes in length and showcase innovative and cutting-edge processes and services. The Innovation Theatre sessions will run throughout the conference when the Exposition Hall is open.
With topics spanning across law enforcement subject matters, these sessions provide something interesting for all conference attendees.
