Raven Daniels
Victim Advocate, DeKalb County Police Department, Georgia
Raven Daniels serves as a victim advocate with the DeKalb County Police Department, where her passion for social justice and community outreach has made a profound impact. A certified professional life coach, Victim Advocate Daniels brings energy, empathy, and innovation to her role. Within just 90 days of joining the department, she redesigned the CPS reporting process, transitioning it to an online platform that significantly improved efficiency and response times for child victims. She has gone above and beyond for victims and other community members, from streamlining urgent relocation needs to helping multiple community members in launching their own nonprofits.
Victim Advocate Daniels has forged strong partnerships with the district attorney’s office and local organizations, ensuring victims receive timely support and access to counseling—even securing the opportunity for three months of free therapy for those without insurance. She is actively involved in the agency’s outreach programs, leading events such as holiday gift drives for local children and distributing sleeping bags to the unhoused population, among other efforts. Her work with MiniCityAtl helps unhoused individuals access vital documents and benefits. She also serves on the Principal Advisory Council for Salem Middle School and the board of The Village Center for Culture and Character.
Victim Advocate Daniels continues to expand her outreach through partnerships and technology. Her dedication to service is rooted in personal experience and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
“Being a positive influence and serving the community where I live has always been a passion of mine.”
