The mission of the State and Provincial Police Planning Officers Section (SPPPOS) is to collaborate with sworn and civilian members through the facilitation and exchange of information and experiences; to further research, planning, and policy initiatives for agency leadership, while constantly focusing on the future of policing; and to maintain a high level of effectiveness for the agencies we serve.

This section is open to both sworn and civilian members of planning and research units within state and provincial law enforcement agencies. The SPPPOS section meets annually to share information concerning trends and practices in law enforcement. The section also maintains a database of current projects in progress, as well as a compendium of information on the status of state and provincial law enforcement agencies.
