IACP Presidential Visit to France
From July 9-10, 2025, IACP President Ken Walker, Vice President David Rausch, Executive Director Vince Talucci, and Director Matt Langer met with INTERPOL, the International Security Cooperation Directorate (DCIS), and the Préfecture de Police de Paris to discuss officer wellness, public safety, and global policing strategies. The delegation also visited the U.S. Embassy in Paris and engaged with key figures.
Meeting with INTERPOL and the French National Police
From July 9-10, 2025, President Ken Walker, First Vice President David Rausch, Global Policing Director for International Engagement and Partnerships Vince Hawkes, and Global Policing Director Matt Langer met with INTERPOL in Lyon, France and the French National Police in Paris, France.
Business Meetings with Chief Constables
From July 3-4, 2025, President Ken Walker, First Vice President Rausch, and Director for International Engagement and Partnerships Vince Hawkes, attended various meetings with representatives from the United Kingdom Chief Constables and other partners. These visits reinforced IACP’s commitment to global partnerships and laid the groundwork for future collaboration.
National Council of Public Safety Secretaries
From July 1-3, 2025, the IACP was represented at the 1st Ministerial Conference for Public Safety in Brasilia, Brazil. IACP 3rd Vice-President Colonel Matt Packard presented at the event. The conference included senior executive leaders from federal, state, municipal police agencies across Brazil.
BIGRS Regional Meeting
From June 26-27, 2025, the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) team hosted a regional meeting in Bogotá, Colombia. Senior road safety city officials from Buenos Aires and Córdoba, Argentina; Bogotá and Cali, Colombia; and Guayaquil and Quito, Ecuador attended and participated in discussions on data-driven enforcement practices, effectively implementing agency polices to support safe system efforts, and addressing staff equipment and training needs.
BIGRS Site Visit
From June 12-13, 2025, members of the BIGRS team were in Quito, Ecuador for a site visit with the project funder to review efforts aimed at reducing road deaths and injuries in the city.
Training on Emotional Wellness and Resiliency
From June 12-13, 2025, the IACP delivered training for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) project on Emotional Wellness and Resiliency in Córdoba, Argentina. City traffic agents and provincial police learned basic principles of well-being and resilience, emotional intelligence, and stress regulation.
Memorandum of Understanding with the Córdoba Provincial Police
On June 10, 2025, President Walker and Global Policing Director Matt Langer signed an MOU with the Córdoba Provincial Police in in Córdoba, Argentina as an extension of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) project.
24th International Conference on Alcohol, Drugs, and Traffic Safety
A member of the IACP Global Policing team was in Alcobaça, Portugal to attend the 24th International Conference on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety.
International Visitor Leadership Program Delegation Visit
On June 10, 2025, the IACP hosted a delegation of 14 police and national security officials from 13 countries through the U.S. Department of State funded International Visitor Leadership Program.
