The IACP met with Ambassador Kintu Nyago, the Ugandan Deputy High Commissioner in Pretoria, and members of the Ithlokomeleng Batho Rehabilitation Centre (IBRC), a non-profit organization registered in Uganda and South Africa that collaborates with law enforcement to make the community safer, to discuss possible opportunities for future collaboration.

The IACP participated in the first African Regional Conference on Law Enforcement and Public Health held in Pretoria, South Africa from December 1-4, 2024. The conference raised awareness regarding the important links between law enforcement and public health sectors in addressing a broad range of complex issues. The IACP conducted two presentations, one relating resiliency and post-traumatic career growth and one related to IACP's health-related resources.

On November 21, 2024, the IACP welcomed representatives from the National Center for Victims of Crime and the Singapore Police Force to discuss effective victim response strategies in policing. During the meeting, IACP shared an overview of various projects and initiatives it has spearheaded over the past decade. In turn, the delegation highlighted promising practices being implemented in Singapore to assist victims as they navigate the complexities of the justice system.

On November 18-23, 2024, an IACP staff member was in Dublin, Ireland to attend part one of the Tajik Community Centered Police Patrol Plan & Leadership Development Initiative. The program supports Tajikistan’s efforts to evolve its law enforcement practices, with particular focus on community engagement. The select group of Tajik officers will engage with academics, peers, experts, and public safety leaders from Europe and the United States. The second part of the program will take place in Boston in Spring 2025.
