New Police Chief Mentoring
New Police Chief Mentoring Project
IACP Mentor Resources & Information
IACP Mentors
Smaller agency experienced police chiefs are making a difference in the careers of newer chiefs by volunteering to share their knowledge and skills through mentoring. This technical assistance approach was designed to provide newer chiefs with leadership development, policy guidance and on-going support to help avoid costly mistakes as they learn to navigate the complexities of a new administration. Mentoring impacts not only the new chief, but also the agency and the community they serve.
