Model Policies

The IACP National Law Enforcement Policy Center has created model policies and corresponding concepts and issues papers that address some of the most pressing topics in law enforcement. Policies include: 

  • Crowd Management and Control
  • Body Worn Cameras
  • Unbiased Policing
  • Use of Force
  • Officer-Involved Shootings

In addition, the IACP has created Technology Policy Framework to assist law enforcement executives in developing policies that support responsible deployment and use of new and emerging technologies. 

Legislative Resources

The IACP Legislative Agenda outlines the priorities that have been designated by the Executive Committee as those most important to the association at the beginning of this Congress. As additional issues of interest to the IACP arise, the Executive Committee will establish positions on them.
