Line-of-Duty Death Report: April 2018
The monthly Line-of-Duty Death Report is a joint publication of the IACP and the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP) and is a product of IACP Past President De Lucca’s Task Force to Address Violence Against the Police. The IACP and ODMP are committed to honoring fallen law enforcement officers while also raising awareness about line-of-duty deaths, including related trends and causal factors.

IACP Policy Council Midyear
The IACP recently held its annual Policy Council Midyear in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the first time that committees met in conjunction to discuss critical issues facing law enforcement. During the meeting, Policy Council members collaborated across their individual committees to develop 1-3 policy priorities/joint initiatives for the association to pursue.

Institute for Police-Youth Engagement

Participants will explore how to more effectively engage youth, address systemic juvenile justice issues, improve local response to justice-involved youth, and accelerate progress towards more successful outcomes for youth.

Upcoming Leadership in Police Organizations Training

Leadership in Police Organizations is a three-week program that explores leadership at different levels in an organization. It is modeled after the training concept of dispersed leadership and delivers modern behavioral science concepts and theories. The next session begins July 23, 2018 in Plano, Texas.
