Committees, Divisions & Sections Committees Divisions Sections University/College Police Section2004 IACP University and College Police Section Scholarship WinnerTony Wagner of Wrightstown, Pennsylvania has been awarded the 2004 University and College Police Scholarship. He has completed his junior year at the University of Scranton where he is majoring in Criminal Justice through the College of Arts and Sciences. His GPA is 3.55. Tony is a member of the Department of Public Safety Student Officer Program serving the community since his freshman year. He is recognized for his leadership and friendly courteous manner is working with the student population. His demonstrated performance earned him the rank of sergeant and the position of shift leader. His student officer duties include traffic and crowd control, special event security, and responding to minor incidents on campus. During his six semesters at the University of Scranton he has taken a full academic load averaging 18 credits per semester. His academic standing was recognized by the University Jesuit Community through acceptance into the prestigious Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Program that focuses study in philosophy and various related topics. Tony was recently accepted as an intern in the Scranton Police Department, Patrol and Detective Divisions. During his free time, Tony can be found at either the University administered Campus School for Children in grades Kindergarten to Sixth or at the Jewish Home for the elderly of Eastern Pennsylvania. He manages to find time for recreation and sports by volunteering to referee volley ball games and participating in the Criminal Justice Club and the Environmental Club. Tony's goal is to pursue a law enforcement career as a federal agent for either the FBI, ATF, or Secret Service.
