Vehicle Theft Committee

This committee shall study, consider, and determine the various methods and means by which the crime of vehicle theft is committed, including the make and type of vehicles most commonly stolen; survey, investigate, and evaluate the techniques and methods employed by the police and other agencies in solving and reducing the incidence of vehicle theft cases; and report to this Association for dissemination to all interested agencies all pertinent information and recommendations that will reduce the incidence of this major crime. For the purpose of these objectives, the term "vehicle" shall include highway transport vehicles, off-highway recreational vehicles, boats, industrial and farm equipment, aircraft, and all other forms of transportation not included herein.
