Volunteers in Police Service Training Series 2006
The VIPS training will provide attendees with an understanding of both the theories and practices related to developing a law enforcement volunteer program. The purpose of this one-day training will be to introduce VIPS and the law enforcement volunteer resources that are offered by the program and provide attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement a law enforcement volunteer program. The training is intended to be a hands-on experience and will also assist in building a peer-to-peer network.
Volunteers in Police Service Advanced Training Series 2006
The VIPS advanced training series provides a forum for volunteer managers and coordinators to gather and share information with their peers. This one-day program includes curriculum-driven general sessions, workshops, and facilitated discussion groups. This training series builds on the VIPS training series. The advanced training will provide persons in charge of managing a volunteer program with information and skills to successfully manage and grow a law enforcement volunteer program. The training is intended to be a hands-on experience and will also assist in building a peer-to-peer network.
