Statement from IACP President Terrence M. Cunningham on 9/11 Anniversary

On this fifteenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, we solemnly reflect on its indelible mark.

We pause to remember the innocent lives lost in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania -- and the survivors and families left behind.

We pause to thank the first responders who bravely put themselves in harm's way to save others -- and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We pause to recognize that the challenge of global terrorism persists today -- and, together as law enforcement leaders, we steel our resolve to fight terror in every corner of the globe.

Today, let us pause to reflect and remember, yet never forget.
