Intrado Inc. Honored for Support of Law Enforcement Foundation
Public-private partnerships play an increasingly vital role in public safety

Alexandria, VA – The International Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation (IACP Foundation) today presented its Corporate Leadership Award to Intrado Inc. and its president and co-founder Mr. George Heinrichs. The presentation took place during the first general assembly of the IACP’s 118th Annual Conference in Chicago, IL where law enforcement leaders from across the globe were gathered to hear remarks from distinguished guests such as FBI Director Robert Mueller and Attorney General Eric Holder.

“The Corporate Leadership Award is the highest honor that the IACP Foundation can pay to such a valued partner,” said IACP Foundation chair Michael J. Carroll “George has been a key member of the IACP Foundation board since 2010, and has played an important role in helping to improve the way professional policing responds to changing social and economic conditions.”

The IACP Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides scholarship support for the dependant family members of officers fallen or permanently disabled in the line of duty, as well as developing new and dynamic approaches to law enforcement leadership training for command staff. Intrado has served a key role not only in in support of the IACP Foundation and its Annual Fundraising Gala, but also, Mr. Heinrichs has played a personal part in steering the organization’s efforts to enhance public/private partnerships.

"I’m very proud to accept this honorable award,” said Heinrichs. “I’d like to recognize the valuable work of the IACP Foundation and see it as an opportunity for the public and private sectors to collaborate for the good of public safety.”
