NEW videos on IACP’s Enhancing Law Enforcement Response To Victims Web site!
The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), with funding from and in collaboration with the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), has developed four short, 4-minute videos which are now available for viewing on www.responsetovictims.org. Watch one at a time or all at once! You’ll hear directly from project stakeholders including law enforcement, victim service providers, and victims of crime talk about the importance and benefits of implementing the Enhancing Law Enforcement Response to Victims Strategy.
For over a decade, the IACP has collaborated with OVC, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, to promote crime victim rights and facilitate law enforcement’s ability to effectively address victim needs. One of the key milestones of this collaboration includes the 21st Century Strategy for Enhancing Law Enforcement Response to Victims that consists of four inter-connected volumes: the Strategy, the Implementation Guide, the Resource Toolkit, and the Training Supplemental. These documents and a great number of other victim-related materials and publications are now available at www.responsetovictims.org – a comprehensive Web site that serves as a unique law enforcement resource center for enhanced victim response.
