Charity Provides Ballistic Vest for Ypsilanti Police K9 Dog 

A Cincinnati, Ohio-based charity is giving back to the Ypsilanti, Michigan, Police Department following a kind gesture by several of the officers.The Lovis Foundation recently provided a state of the art dog vest to the YPD for its new K9 officer, Opie.The vest arrived in December and Opie is now protected from blade attacks and handgun rounds, according to a press release.

The Lovis Foundation honors the life of Cincinnati native Logan Brinson, who died in 2016 at age 19.
