Strategy Package
Referred to as the Strategy Package, this three-volume resource utilizes findings from the 1999 IACP Victims Summit, four national multi-disciplinary forums, and extensive field testing. It conveys the following overarching themes:
- Enhancing victim response is the next logical step in community policing
- All agencies have the capacity to enhance their response to victims of all crimes
- Change is mutually beneficial to the victim, the agency, and the community
- Enhancing victim response does not require investment of substantial funds, but calls for the agency’s leadership commitment and personnel buy-in Learn More »
The Toolkit is available electronically via the Enhancing Law Enforcement Response to Victims page. However, you can obtain the Strategy and Implementation Guide in hard copy (“2 in 1” booklet) by filling out the Order Form.
Volume 4 - Training Supplemental (Coming in October 2009)
Launch of the supplemental is scheduled to take place during the 116th Annual IACP Conference on October 3 – 7, 2009, in Denver, CO, by which time the document will be available electronically via this page.
