Body Armor – The purpose of this policy is to provide law enforcement officers with guidelines for the proper use and care of body armor
Dealing with the Mentally Ill – The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance to law enforcement officers when dealing with suspected mentally ill persons
Foot Pursuits – The purpose of this policy is to establish a balance between protecting the safety of the public and police officers during police pursuits on foot and law enforcement’s duty to enforce the law and apprehend suspects
Line-of-Duty Death and Serious Injury – The purpose of this policy is to prepare this department for the line-of-duty death or serious injury of an active duty officer and to direct the department in providing proper support for the officer’s family
Motor Vehicle Stops – The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for stopping and approaching motorists in a manner that promotes the safety of the officer and the motorist
