Grantham University -
On Line Scholarship Award 2008

Grantham University has provided support for continuing professional development for law enforcement officers through the donation of a one-year full scholarship, including tuition, books and software.  Captain Nelson Andreu of the West Miami, FL Police Department has been named as the recipient of the 2008 Grantham University Scholarship. 

Captain Andreu has been in law enforcement for over 28 years and his command staff describe him as “of the highest caliber”, “always striving to improve himself’ and “having spearheaded many new initiatives within the department”.  He has worked in homicide, internal affairs and administration and is currently pursuing a college education.  If successful, he will be the first in his immediate family to complete a bachelor’s degree.
