GETTING TO THE IACP

Driving Directions to IACP Headquarters:


From Washington, D.C. and areas north:

44 Canal Center Plaza is approximately 6 miles south of Washington, DC. Take George Washington Memorial Parkway South toward Mount Vernon. Take the Slater’s Lane exit at a slight right and continue through the first light onto West Abingdon Drive. Turn left on Bashford Lane at the second light. Turn right on North Royal Street. Turn left on Third Street. Turn right on North Fairfax Street. Turn left on Canal Center Plaza.

 

From I‐495 South of Alexandria:

Take exit 177 A or B to either Route 1 North or George Washington Memorial Parkway North toward Alexandria (approximately 1.8 miles). Turn right on Madison Street. Turn left on North Fairfax Street. Turn right on Canal Center Plaza.


Visitor Parking at 44 Canal Center: 

 

Once you enter Canal Center Plaza, the entrance to visitor parking is on the right. You may park in any space not marked as reserved. Enter the elevators in the area for 44 Canal Center. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Click here for more information.

 

Metro Directions to IACP Headquarters:

 

The closest Metro Station is Braddock Road, serviced by both the Yellow and Blue Lines. Please visit www.wmata.com for information on Metro schedules.


Walking from the Braddock Road Metro Station:

It is approximately 0.9 miles from the Braddock Road Metro Station to 44 Canal Center Plaza. After exiting the Metro Station, cross over N. West Street to Madison Street. Continue north on Madison Street for 11 blocks. Turn left on North Fairfax Street and continue for 2 blocks. Turn right on Canal Center Plaza, cross the railroad tracks, and 44 Canal Center Plaza is the first building on the right.


Canal Center provides a shuttle between the Braddock Road Metro Station and Canal Center:

The shuttle is operated by Chariots for Hire and advertises the destination of Canal Center. The shuttle operates every 10 minutes between 7:40am and 9:20am and 4:30pm‐6:00pm.
